I Haven't Lived At All pt 3.

Hi Lovelies,

I'm back with another off topic post (because would you expect anything less of me!?)
If you've seen my previous couple of posts, I'm in the process of self-publishing my first book and I'm so happy to share that my kickstarter project target has been met- with 3 days to go! (so, if you wanted to pledge...there's time left!)

Anyway, thats not really what I wanted to speak about!
As I'm now gearing up to go full throttle with this, and I won't even go into how many mixed emotions this gives me, I wanted to put a call out to any bloggers who post book reviews.
As many of you know, blogging is a great way of networking, so if there are any bloggers out there who would be interested in posting a review of my book before the release please get in touch.
Or if any of you would be interested in this, I'd be equally as interested to here from you.
Please do feel free to spread the word of this. I need your support now more than ever.

You can email me at: contact@evelynknightley.co.uk
Find out more about this book at: evelynknightley.co.uk
Like my page on facebook: facebook.com/evelynknightleywriter
I'd also like to apologise for being an awful blogger recently, if there are any posts you want me to take a look at please do leave a link in the comments section and I'll take a look. I've just been super busy, working full time and then coming home to work on this book, it's leaving me little time for anything else so blogging has kind of fallen behind. This makes me very sad but sometimes you've just gotta prioritise :(

Gracefully cursed, I thirst. *FOTD*

Morning lovelies!
This is just a quick post before I shoot off to work, but I'm wearing something a little different to what I would normally wear and I thought I'd carry this theme through to my hair and face. So, I bring you today's face of the day!

I bought this lovely dress a few days ago, it's 'different' to say the least but I really do love it.
This is the pattern on the dress

(There are no full length mirrors in the house, and I'm in a bit of a rush so sorry about the picture!)

Excuse the stock photo, but here's the dress in its entirety,
 From Izabel London for £15

Now, on to the make up!

My aim was to go quite heavy on the eyes and fresh looking everywhere else. You can't see in this photo, but I have some bright pink eyeshadow as the base on my eyelids, and my usual winged eyeliner to top it off with a dark blue shadow under the water line.

As the dress has a high neck, I've pulled my hair up so that it's not too 'busy' and all of the attention falls on to the neckline.

Products!

L'Oreal Lumi Magique Primer
L'Oreal True Match Foundation (Rose Ivory)
Natural Collection Loose Powder (Cool Translucent)
hdBrow eyebrow palette (Bombshell)
Sheer Blusher (Life's a Peach)
MUA Eyeshadow Palette (Glamour Nights)
Topshop Gel Liner (Black)
Benefit They're Real Mascara
Barry M Lipstick (113 Sheer Pink)

* colours used

I always used to be so adventurous with colours when it comes to eye make up, but for the past 3 years or so I seem to have become settled in my ways. This has made me want to start experimenting all over again!
What do we think about bright eye make up? (and the dress, for that matter, I'm still a little nervous about wearing it!)

Spring Haul!

Hi lovelies!

It's a miracle, i'm back with a post actually somewhat related to fashion and beauty. I hope you don't mind that there's been a massive increase in my life-related posts, but a lot is going on in my life at the moment and I feel the need to share it!
Anyway, I am back with another haul! I've been an excellent bargain hunter the past couple of weeks, and I've sold a lot on amazon and ebay so I figured I could treat myself. (I'd also like to document- it's been 2 weeks since payday, and I'm still not broke. This is unheard of!)

Skirt, Crop Top, bracelets and Earrings are all from New Look. I found myself in a 90's mood! I think my choice of outfit shows.

Excuse the photo, there's a lack of long mirrors in my house and I don't have a tripod; my bad!

Teamed with my pumps from Primark, I think this makes such a fun outfit!
What's even better is that for the all of my New Look goodies, I only spent about £28. Pretty impressive I think!

I bought the bag from on a blog sale over on Kassie's blog! I love it, it's quite small which means I can't carry around half of the useless things I usually hoard and that can only mean it's doing wonders for my shoulder!

I pounced on the MUA eyeshadow palette on the same day as the above outfit was bought, can you tell?
The Macadamia hair mask has been much needed, since bleaching my hair (yet again!) to try and become a false-ginger it has been in some much needed TLC. I've only used it once so far and I can already see massive improvements. It's not cheap, but it's definitely worth it!
I bought the Superdrug Hot Cloth Cleanser upon the recommendation of my friend as she knew I had my eye on the Liz Earle cleanser, now I've still not tried the Liz Earle one, but I'm so happy with this one that I really don't feel the need to!

These books were 99p each from The Works...I couldn't resist.

Now for a few things that aren't in the main photos above, but purchases that I am super happy with!

(Again, excuse the photo!)
These harem-style trousers are from ebay, and holy cow are they comfortable. These are ideal for that one hour of hot sun the UK will get in the future.

My bed wanted in on the Spring-style overhaul, so I swooped on this duvet set and pillow covers. I absolutely love them.

Oh look, another ebay purchase.
I found this super comfortable desk chair for £50, which I think is pretty good for a chair like this! I've ordered myself an iMac (...on finance, oops) so I needed something a little bit nicer than the plastic chair I was previously using.
(Speaking of which, my iMac arrived just as I was starting this blog post, it's still in it's packaging- that's dedication!)

For those of you who haven't heard, Paramore's new album is out and I've had it on non-stop repeat. It's so pop-rock perfect. Completely different to their old stuff, but I love it!
I was also lucky enough to go to their intimate gig in London (at a venue that old holds 650 people) and they were incredible. I queued up for a few hours but after 3 songs near the front and some drunk girl almost ripping my earrings out and bruising my ribs, I bailed out and went to stand at the back. It was an excellent choice, I could see perfectly and really appreciate the music. Everyone who attended received a numbered plectrum, and that's mine next to the album!

That's it for today! I'm still waiting for a few things to arrive in the post, so there's a chance of another haul! If there's anything here that you'd like to see reviewed, let me know!

Just an update!

Afternoon lovelies,

I seem to be in the habit of having to apologise for my lack of posting, but I feel like I have a genuine reason so I'm trying not to feel too guilty for neglecting my poor blog. I do have a couple of posts planned, it's just finding the time to do it!
For those of who you missed my previous post, I Haven't Lived at All, I've thrown myself into a very big (and very exciting!) project.
I'm in the process of self-publishing my first book; an anthology of poetry and short stories. In order to do this, I need as much support as I can get. This is where I'm calling on you guys to help!

I have a kickstarter account and I'm aiming to raise £500...I'm 40% of the way there which is AMAZING but it could be better! Please, please take a look- have a read and see if it's something you would be interested in supporting. You can pledge as little as £1 so please do consider it, I would really really appreciate it- money won't be taken from your account until May 2nd, and only then if I reach my target!

As I'm an incredibly needy human being, there are a few other things I would love for you to do!
If you could like and share my page on facebook, that would be incredible.
I also have a twitter that you can follow and RT my tweets from.

If you fancy doing one better and writing a blog post promoting all of these things, that would be incredibly amazing and supportive, and just basically make my heart swell. I would also add your name to the 'thank you' section of the book.
If you do ANY of the above, please do leave me a comment and let me know so I can offer you a virtual hug.

I'm sorry for straying from the usual beauty/fashion posts, but in my experience you're all lovely and supportive so hopefully you'll let it slide for the time being?
This means the absolute world to me, so if I could have your support that would be incredible!

Oh, and a look, I have a book cover.
